PRODUCT RANGE
Avant Garde semi-modular balustrading combines modular components with bespoke handrails and infill panels
and has been designed to allow specifiers a great deal of flexibility in design, yet by optimising the number
of standard components, which use precision mechanical joints for cleaner lines at intersections, the number of
visible joints has been minimized for maximum aesthetical appeal.
Moreover, the semi-modular format allows different materials to be combined to create visually stimulating effects, which
would not be possible with a fully fabricated system. For example, brass, mirror-polished stainless and the unique linen-finish
stainless can all be combined in various configurations of the balustrade, i.e. the post, handrail, infill clips, spigots and
bosses can vary in either finish or material.
COMPOSITION, MANUFACTURE
Handrails are available in powder coated mild steel tube in a variety of finishes and mirror-polished brass tube, plus
a selection of hardwoods. infill panels are available in toughened glass, perforated metals and powder coated MDF, with
a choice finishes. Tensioned stainless wires and round or flat bar midrails in a choice of metals and finishes can be supplied
to special order. All the components are manufactured from Type 316 stainless steel.
Uprights, saddles and infill panel clips, plus bosses, spigots and flanges are available ex stock in mild steel, in a choice
of RAL/BS colours or metallic powder coated finishes, stainless steel or brass with mirror-polished, satin polished or exclusive
linen finishes allows greater design flexibility than virtually any other system available.
Materials and finishes canbe specified and advice given to ensure supirior performance and durability wether installed internally
or externally, whatever the configuration.
SERVICES
'Hands-on' quality control ensures consistant high quality production and ex stock availability also means shorter lead times
and greater economy. Avant Guarde has been designed and manufactured to meet all relevant British Strandards and codes of
practice, allowing it to be specified with confidence for all building use categories.
Handrails are fabricated on-site to the renowned Avant Guarde high quality finish- metal handrail joints are welded, ground and
polished to a finish that is harmonious with the rail, whilst craft skills ensure the same result with hardwoods, For export,
all components with fixingsare packed unassembled, thus minimising shipping costs, with working drawings for assembly on-site.
